Sarah Elizabeth Charles
Sarah Elizabeth Charles has always loved music. At the age of 7
Sarah began studying piano at the Community Music School of
Springfield (CMSS) and joined the Our Lady of Hope Children's Choir.

The subsequent year, Sarah became a member of the Children's
Chorus at the Community Music School of Springfield. This provided
her an expanded opportunity to learn and grow as a singer and
musician as well as travel with the group under the direction of highly
experienced coaches. Choral concerts included performances in
New York, Philadelphia, Boston, UMASS as well as televised
Christmas concerts and a CD recording.

At the age of 9, she solo'd at her godmother's wedding. That event
spawned numerous subsequent solo performances at weddings,
funerals, parochial and civic events.

Sarah began studying vocals at CMSS, allowing her to continue
growing as a singer and performer and giving her a variety of
performing opportunities throughout Western Massachusetts. It has
inspired her to begin composing her own music as well.

Sarah is now, through the honors merit scholarship program,
studying and performing as the featured vocalist with the Charles
Majid Greelee Jazz Ensemble of the Community Music School.

Sarah's voice, poise and spirit make her stand out and call the stage
her own. Audiences are moved by her range of talents, whether she
is singing the "Ave Maria" acapella or barreling out "Muddy Water"
accompanied by a jazz band. Sarah has it all!
